The ConTact C.A.R.E Foundation (Beginner) Course is designed for people who wish to know a way of working with family, sport and work-related injuries. Also health professionals interested in an approach to working with impact injuries which complement their clinical work.

Law dictates that all health professionals require 120 hrs. of Anatomy & Physiology training – ONLY this component can be done by correspondence as the student trains with ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock Release.

FOUNDATION TRAINING is the pre-requisite to the PRACTITIONER TRAINING PROGRAM

What to expect at your Foundation Course?

DAY 1

  • Learn instinctive awareness

  • ConTact C.A.R.E principles of working with impacted bones and surprise trauma situations

  • The ConTact C.A.R.E method to release the "flinch locked" bones and connective tissue

  • Observation skills that reveal the body's instinctive self-defence

  • Palpation training to ascertain where the body is locked down

  • Understanding  how the body manages all pain in emergency situations

DAY 2

  • A detailed study of the self-defence systems of the body from a Martial Arts perspective and hands-on training of how to de-activate the alarm system which has locked-on due to surprise impacted bones.

  • Gain a fresh perspective on how impact injuries may be creating distress such as anxiety attacks, hypertension, breathing disorders including emphysema.

By the end of the weekend, you will have the basics of how you can deal with skeletal sensory shock and connective tissue - you will be able to immediately apply what you learn in first aid situations. You will be able to start work on unresolved impact injuries safely with friends and family as well as your pets. Above all, you will realise how SIMPLE, SAFE, SENSIBLE & SELF-EVIDENT  it really is to care for yourself and your loved ones with ConTact C.A.R.E

Requirements to go onto Practitioner Training Program:

  • Attend a minimum of 64 hrs. of Foundation courses across all species - Human/Equine/Bovine. (Human training must include 16 hrs. of an animal course).

  • See 10 clients with follow-up sessions recorded on client sheets (20 treatments) between each Foundation course of which must be sited by the Instructor. You will not be able to attend further Foundation courses until this has been fulfilled.  I.e. a minimum of 40 clients with follow-ups is required to advance to the Practitioner Training Program (80 treatments).

  • Pass a Foundation assessment (with any Foundation Instructor) - this will include a written test on the 9-step formula, testing the rhythm with the barrel, ensuring the pressure wall is being met and a Foundation treatment on the Instructor.

If then, this is not to a satisfactory level, you will be required to do further Foundation hours and client sheets at the discretion of your assessor.

When competent at Foundation level, you can begin the Practitioner Training Program of which there will be one intake per year.
